Let me just say that I am OBSESSED with my custom logo made by my dear friend Anna of HOAB. So when I came across the website By Hand London and saw they made custom printed fabric, I jumped on the opportunity. Sadly, since I purchased the fabric back in April this company no longer does custom print fabric.
I originally had intended to make this skirt for Curvention 2015. After late night time crunching finishing last minute alterations for the models I had no time. Then, like your typical woman I put it in the back of my closet and completely forgot I had it until I came across it while looking for something else.
TOP: Simplicty 1283
Pattern Description: Knit long sleeve crop top
Pattern Sizing: 6-14. I cut a 10
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes Were the instructions easy to follow? I don't recall having any problems, but I made this a while ago What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the invisible zipper. It gives a classier feel than your average crop top. Fabric Used: Jersey knit from Joann's Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Shortened the sleeves Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes. I have 2 others made in red and in a print. Conclusion: Definitely my go-to crop top pattern.
SKIRT: McCalls's 6706 - View C
Pattern Description: Misses Skirt and Petticoat
Pattern Sizing: 6-14. I cut a 12 but it ended up being too big so I had to grade down the size.

Fabric Used: Custom printed fabric from By Hand London Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I cut a size 12 but McCall's patterns seem to run big to me so I ended up having to alter the skirt and take it down a size. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes. Conclusion: Fun and would definitely make again in a fun bright print.
