DIY oversized off the shoulder top #datenite

Shavonne B. Means

Hey loves! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. It was quite a busy weekend here in Upstate New York. It was Traver's Weekend in Saratoga. Triple Crown winner American Pharoah was set to run in the Travers race this year so our little town had even MORE madness than usual.

I had to deliver a skirt to Saratoga a client had ordered for Traver's Day. My husband and I took advantange of the night out and took a stroll and made it a much needed date night.

I had this fabric in my stash since last summer. I have no idea what I had intended to do with it and since I had not sewn anything with it yet I assume it was something I got on sale or clearance and bought it just because I couldn't beat the price. I wanted something that was comfortable, fun, to wear for the evening and I knew this wouldn't take long and all to make.

I literally made this top as soon as I got home from work while hubby was getting dressed himself. I threw on a pair of my favorite jeans, nude heels. I kept it light with the accessories wearing an ear cuff earring and a ring that my good friend Telle from high school of Dollar Dimes, made for me. I plan to make a couple more for the Fall in solid dark colors.

Speaking of the Fall - if you have not joined my mailing list or liked me on Facebook I suggest you do so soon. Fall is my FAVORITE season and the looks I have been putting together between now and the end of the year is amazing. Especially my segment of holiday looks that I plan to post between Black Friday and New Years to give you all som inspiration for those holiday parties you will be attending. So make sure you stay "in the know"!!

Ciao!
