Happy Aquarius Season
Happy Birthday to me!
In Upstate NY it's dreary and cold but thankfully no snow. This is my FAVORITE time of year. Why? It's Aquarius Season! Some people wonder why I make such a big deal out of my birthday. Well, that's how my Daddy raised me. He spoiled me and made sure that this is the one day of the year that it was all about me and that I had a good time. I feel the same for the others close to me. I LOVE celebrating birthdays seeing people smile and just enjoy their day.
I knew I wanted to make a birthday post but had no idea what to post about because I am in creative overload. Have you ever had SO many ideas that you don't know where to start? Well, that's my life right now. I have a pile of fabric as tall as me with things I want to sew in February alone. Yikes. We will see how that works out.
Anywho, I have my best ideas in the middle of the night. One night last week I literally popped up with an idea. That idea was to have my besties style me for my birthday post. I asked them if they were up for the challenge and they were. My request was for them all to tell me what they wanted to see me in and then I will create a look with their requests. They would NOT know what look is I created until I publish this post on my birthday. Hope I made you ladies proud.
#VonneFail: Geri actually requested a faux hawk for my hair. As you can see I am growing my hair out and the sides were a little too long for the look I was aiming for. I tried for 3 days and nothing. So this was about as faux hawky as my hair was going to get. Is hawky even a word? Well if not, whatevs, it is now. You know us Aquarians do what we want and say what we want. LOL!

One thing you may not know about me is not only do I love sewing, I also love to thrift shop, and ReFashion clothing. I have mentioned before that I LOVE jeans. I have a closet overflowing with them. I have so many that I don't wear but can't seem to get rid of them. I decided to take these old bootcut Levis I had and make taper the legs to make them more fitted. I ripped them up a bit and added gold chains and pearls. I came across the chains for $1 in Wal-Mart when I was searching for silver chains for a future post.
